Top 7 Christian Books for Tween Girls

There are a lot of books out there for girls ages 10-12, but I’m going to list my top seven. Note that these are my preference, they may not be your favorite, but I hope you give them a shot. These are not listed in any order of favorite to least favorite or anything like that, I’m just going to share some with you.

1. The Glimmer Girls by Natalie Grant

This book series includes 4 books starring the three daughters of a music celebrity. They encounter challenging times, puzzling mysteries, and page turning adventures that all make up amazing vacations.

2. The Daniels Sisters by Camryn, Kaitlyn, and Olivia Pitts, with Janel Rodriguez Ferrer

The Daniels Sisters book trilogy is about four sisters who all have different talents and dreams. The first book, Ansley’s Big Bake Off, stars Ansley and her mad cooking skills. The second book, Ashton’s Dancing Dreams, stars Ashton and her love for dancing her heart out. The third book, Amber’s Song, stars Amber and her beautiful singing voice. In all three books, the four sisters learn about God, love, letting go of friends who might move away, going to an awesome summer camp, and holding on to hope that they might win a baking contest.

3. Lena in the Spotlight by Alena Pitts with Wynter Pitts

Lena in the Spotlight is based on Alena Pitts’ life so far. A girl named Lena gets to be in a movie, and learns that being in a movie isn’t as glamorous as she thought it would be. There’s a lot of hard work, tears, and sometimes just plain overwhelming. Sure, there are some fun parts, like meeting her fave celebrity, Mallory Winston, who is also in the movie. She learns a lot of good lessons, and does some great things in this book trilogy. I definitely recommend!

4. Princess in Camo by Missy and Mia Robertson with Jill Osborne

This book series includes four books: Allie’s Bayou Rescue, Running from Reality, Dog Show Disaster, and Finding Cabin Six. These four books star a girl named Allie Carroway, who is twelve years old, and has asthma and a severe peanut allergy. Throughout the books, she almost gets attacked by an angry alligator, goes on strike to not be on her and her family’s TV show Carried Away With the Carroways, gets chosen to host a dog show, and encounters a mystery at a summer camp. These books are totally adventure packed, and you will love the characters.

5. The Good News Shoes by Jill Osborne

This book series is about a girl named Riley Mae who is a spokesperson for a shoe company. Riley loves sports, and in this book series, she climbs very tall and steep mountains and cliffs, goes to Africa, and has lots of adventures, making friends along the way. If you’re looking for a book jam-packed with adventure, then The Good News Shoes is one of my top recommendations.

6. The Baxter Family Children by Karen Kingsbury and Tyler Russell

From Karen Kingsbury and Tyler Russel, The Baxter Family Children is an indescribably awesome book series. Super realistic, this feel-good book series is sure to be one of your favorites. In The Baxter Family Children, they move, get in a talent show, and overall just make amazing memories. This is a book series you have to read if you haven’t already.

7. A Lucy Novel by Nancy N. Rue

This series has four books in it, and is about a girl named Lucy who is a tomboy. Her mother died, and her father got blinded in an accident. She starts to question everything, even God. But, there is hope. A kind housekeeper who insists on Bible studies, shows Lucy how to be a woman of God. You will get captivated with the stories in this series. Through all Lucy’s troubles, she never looses her joy and passion for soccer.
