Prayer Tips

Hey! Today I’ll be writing about prayer. Talking to God is a key part of our relationship with Him, but sometimes we don’t know what to say to Him. I hope this post helps!      Tip #1: Get Helpful Supplies  There are a lot of things out there to help us pray. Of course, you can talk to God without these tools, but they’re great to use once a day or so. Some supplies I use are: Prayer Journal Prayer Box (it’s a little tin that has a tiny pen or pencil in it with a little notepad to write prayer requests in, praises to God, and more!) War Room or Prayer Closet (see  War Room Post ) Prayer Books (books full of prayers to read to God aloud or in your head) Prayer Cards (These are little cards with either prayer prompts or written prayers. Some even come packaged in a cute storage box!)      Tip #2 Memorize Prayers or Scriptures that will help you in Prayer (optional) You can memorize the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) or the Serenity Prayer (bel...

Loving Others Kit

Hey! I just read 1 John, and it’s very fitting for Valentine’s Day and everyday life. It talks about loving one another, living in light instead of darkness, living as children of God, and so much more. Plus, it’s only five chapters, so it didn’t take long at all! You can definitely read it in under twenty minutes. I encourage you to go and read 1 John in your Bible right now. When you’re done, come back to this post and read the ways to apply it in this season of love. Now go grab your Bible and read it! Good job! You read it didn’t you? Now we’re going to create something I like to call a “Loving Others Kit”. You can stick it in your bag, your car’s console, or anywhere that you can access it on the go. So what is a “Loving Others Kit”? Basically, it’s a little bag or pencil pouch filled with anything to help you love others. When you run out of supplies in it, restock! I challenge you to use this year round, not just during Valentine’s Day season. Let’s create it! How To Create...

January 2025 Monthly Book Review

It’s Monthly Book Review time! So sorry that it’s a week late, but I hope the book I chose makes up for it. I just finished this book recently and it’s one of the best I’ve ever read. Let’s review it! Meet Sophie  Written By: Nancy Rue My Rating: 9 out of 10 My Description 11-year old Sophie is an avid dreamer. That’s great, but there’s one problem; she tends to daydream at the wrong times. She prays that God would give her friends; and she starts to see Dr. Peter, who helps her with her daydreaming by giving her godly advice. God answers her prayers and gives her a friend, Fiona, who also likes to daydream and pretend. Sophie’s dad says that he’ll get them a camera to make films, so that they can make something out of all their daydreaming. The catch is that Sophie’s grades have to go up. If they don’t, they won’t get the camera. Throughout this two-in-one book, Sophie learns valuable lessons such as talking to God, and reading her Bible. I definitely learned from this book,...
