Be a Servant

There’s this amazing woman in the Bible, Abigail, who is a great picture of what being a servant should look like. We’ll talk a little about her, and ways to be a servant like she was. Let’s make sure we’re on the same page. When I say “servant”, I don’t mean a slave or a servant of some rich king. I mean a person who puts others first and serves them. Abigail was a great servant.  Abigail’s story is found in 1 Samuel 25. I encourage you to go read it right now, but I’ll recap it too. So this guy named David -yeah, the one who killed Goliath with just a sling and a rock, but this is after that- was in the wilderness one day with some other men. There was a very wealthy and snobby man nearby, Nabal, and David sent ten young men to ask Nabal for some food and supplies and stuff like that. Now before I tell you what happened next, you need to know that David and his men were really good guys and had done a fantastic job of watching Nabal’s sheep in the past. But, Nabal didn’t re...

Relax, Girl!

Sometimes life can get REALLY busy. But, if you’re like me, you like it that way. Whether you like the busyness or not though, we all need time to relax. Take a bubble bath. Put on some slippers. Or maybe  take some time to just sit and think. Here’s a fun quiz to help you decide how to relax! Relaxation Quiz #1 How much time do you have? A. 5-10 minutes B. 10-20 minutes C. 20-30 minutes #2 What are you in the mood for? A. Something simple, easy, and fun B. Some girly spa fun! C. A mani-pedi! #3   What will you wear? A. The clothes I have on currently B. A fluffy robe with a comfy headband and slippers C. Pajamas! Answers Mostly A’s: It’s sounds like you have just enough time to kick up your feet and relax for a short amount of time. That’s okay! It’s good that you’re taking that time to relax. You could listen to a podcast, journal, read, listen to music, color, stretch, or eat a quick snack. My advice: put away technology, put on some slippers, and just do one thing to...

February 2025 Monthly Book Review

Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s book review time! This book is by one of my fave authors- Sadie Robertson Huff. Let’s get into it! Live Written By: Sadie Robertson Huff My Rating: 9 out of 10 My Description To truly live our life to the fullest, we need to take some risks, face plant, and laugh at ourselves. In Live by Sadie Robertson Huff, you’ll learn about people in the Bible who truly lived, and be inspired to do the same. With fun pictures, uplifting content, and funny stories, you won’t get bored with this book.  My Recommendation for Age Group: Definitely any age, but it seems to be more appealing to teen girls and young adults. Fiction or Non-fiction? Non-fiction Would I recommend this book to others? Totally! Why else would I write a book review on it? One thing I learned from this book: There were so many things I learned, and these are just two of them. Number one, dancing is a universal language of freedom (LOL). Number two, we can place our confidence in God and...

You Are Loved by The Most High

Hey! In a week, it’s Valentine’s Day. Love is the theme of Valentine’s Day if you ask me, and God loves us! Instead of chocolate, flowers and romance movies, meditate on God’s love for you. Here are some suggestions for things to help you do that! Bible Verses “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 8:38-39, ESV “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8, ESV “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.” -1 John 4:7, ESV Song Suggestions “You Say” and “Love Like This” by Lauren Daigle “God So Loved” by We The Kingdom “Jesus Loves” by Zach Williams Journaling Prompts      First Prompt: Think about God’s love for you....
