Girl Chat: Confidence

Hey everybody! I sort of forgot to plan and write my post earlier in the week, so I’m doing it this morning! A little Breakfast and Blogging! Anyway… Today we’re chatting about confidence in our Girl Chat series. For the final time in Girl Chat , since this is the last post of the series, let’s have my friend answer a question! What are some tips for confidence? I can’t claim to be an expert, but here are my tips: 1. Trust in God! I know this sounds cliche, but confidence has to start with him! When we believe that He will always be with us, and that He has infinite power, why wouldn’t we be confident? Proverbs 3:26 (ESV) says, “For the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.” 2. Don’t let Satan keep you from being confident in who God made you to be. I know a lot of teens struggle to be confident in who they are. This makes me sad, because the Bible says we were made with a purpose and God has always had a plan for the good things we were going t...

Girl Chat: Journaling

Hey Girl! Today in Girl Chat we are talking about journaling. Let’s start with my friend answering a question! What are your tips for journaling? What kinds of journals do you have? Tips! 1. Do what works best for YOU. There is no such thing as a perfect journal. When I was younger, I really struggled with journaling because I thought I was doing it “wrong.” Now, I understand there is no wrong! Journal how YOU want to journal. 2. Be consistent. You might not feel like journaling every day, and that’s OK. However, if you write pretty consistently, you will be able to look back on what you’ve done! It’s a super satisfying feeling, trust me! Personally, I have had a daily journal in the past. Here I just wrote about my day. However, this year, starting in January, I started a journal for my Bible study time, as well as a five year journal. A five year journal is a journal with 5 sections on each page. Each section is for a year: like 2025, 2026, and so on for five years. The first year, y...

Girl Chat: Bedroom Makeover

Hey girl ! Let’s talk about bedroom makeovers . My intent for this post is that it will (hopefully) inspire you, and give you some helpful tips! Let’s start by a friend of mine answering a question! What is your favorite spot in your room? What are some tips for decorating your room? I absolutely love my desk space in my room. The big drawers and shelves help me to stay organized, and I love designing my whiteboard calendar with pastel colored expo markers each month. About a year ago, I got a velvet office chair that spins! I share a room, so it’s nice to have a space that’s mine! Homework, projects, or Bible study goes into this space… Most of the time it’s all three! As far as decorating your room goes, I advise to keep it simple and do what works for you! Some people share rooms, some people have limited budgets, some don’t! There really isn’t one magic decorating tip that works for everyone. I like to break bedroom makeovers into 4 practical steps : 1. Get rid of stuff For this st...
