Faith Glow Up: Week 3

Hello! Time for Week 3 of Faith Glow Up! This week, we are chatting about Bible journaling. Since this whole series is about making time with God more fun, I thought this was another great way -and maybe a little obvious too- to do that. So grab your highlighters, pens, sticky notes, and annotation tabs and get ready to study God’s Word. I hope you have fun! Let’s begin by saying this: It’s not about aesthetic. Don’t be thinking you have to make the design look perfect for looks. Think of your Bible as a place for you and God to spend time together. I encourage you very much to share it, but don’t stress about making the notes and designs look perfect. That’s not what it’s about. Have fun doing some Bible journaling, but keep the right mindset. Think of it as just helping you more understand the Scripture piece you’re studying. Bible journaling comes in different forms. One of the ways to do it is like the picture below, where she highlights and underlines, then writes her thoughts on ...

Faith Glow Up: Week 2

Welcome to the second week of Faith Glow Up! Today is all about what I call “beaded faith”. Have you seen pictures like the one below on Pinterest before?  It’s pretty easy to make bracelets like this, and many of you probably have. I’m going to give you some inspo from Pinterest (shocker, huh?)! Another cute way to “bead your faith” is through keychains! I hope you try something like this; it’s a great way to do a craft, express your faith, and experiment with different ways to bead! You could turn on some worship music while you make it, or a podcast.  Beading your faith is a great way to express your joy for Jesus while also sharing that joy with others! When another person sees a WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) bracelet, they may be inspired and maybe even ask questions. I hope you have fun and God bless!

Faith Glow Up: Week 1

Sometimes when I think about religion, I think about this: an old man on his knees, and a book in his hands with a plain black cover and the words “Holy Bible” written on the front in gold. Really specific, I know. But, that’s sometimes a rough idea of what others think about Christianity too. Now, I’m not saying that you have to have colorful highlighters, a pretty Bible, and a handmade prayer cross to be considered a strong Christian. That old man on his knees with a plain black Bible may have the strongest faith than anybody around him; not that it’s a competition. But I am saying that faith isn’t boring. We have the joy of Jesus and can express some of that joy through faith tools (highlighters, prayer journals, your Bible, etc.), if that’s something you’re into. Just know, as we’re going through this series, that I’m not saying the level of religious activity you do or how many fun faith things you have is how strong your faith is. It’s not about that stuff. Just keep that in...

October 2025 Monthly Book Review

It’s fall! I hope you’re excited too, because fall is so cozy and pumpkin spice latte-filled. As the weather gets colder, we spend more and more time inside. It’s time to make our houses look great as we prepare to spend our time inside for the cold winter months. Let’s take a look at a book that will help us with that. And this is one of my all-time favorites, so I would recommend at least checking it out from your local library. The Home Edit for Teens Written By: Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin My Rating: 10 out of 10 -like I said, this is one of my favorite books ever. My Description Organizing, cleaning, and decorating simply can’t seem boring with The Home Edit for Teens . Clea and Joanna give inspiration, tips, and step-by-step processes to help you organize. This book isn’t just about your bedroom (though most of it is), it’s also about how to organize your suitcases and bags for travel, how to organize a great content corner, and how to organize all the goods for your next slee...

A Fire to be Cared For

Last week, we talked about fires that spread like the Gospel. This week, I’m going to add on to that and talk specifically about being a strong Christian and adding to your fire for Jesus everyday. Have you ever seen those “faith baskets” on Pinterest? Like the one above? All the stuff in it looks so fun and cutesy to use in your time with God! Sometimes, we need to create a basket like that in our house or bedroom to have easy access to spend fun time with God. God is not boring, so we shouldn’t make our time with Him boring. This is actually going to be a series (starting on October 17) that I will do. But for now, consider this post your intro to that series. We need to care for our fires for Jesus. You can probably think of many ways to do that, like reading your Bible or praying. Those things are really good and essential to our faith in Jesus Christ. So instead of me writing more for you to read (therefore, taking away time you could be spending with our Savior), just spend ...
