A Fire that Changes Lives

Happy Friday everyone! I was looking through my Notes app yesterday, specifically through the page that I keep all my writing analogies and metaphors on. The last one on the list, as of now, was about sharing the Gospel. We’re going to dive into that one today. So in a forest fire, the fire typically starts with one tree or one section of trees. It then spreads to cover the entire forest, right? Well, the Gospel can spread like that too. It can start with one Christian -one strong, grounded Christian that firmly believes Jesus is Lord over all- who shares a Bible verse or a little piece of God’s Word to someone. Then that person believes, does the same sharing to another person, and then starts a whole ripple effect of Gospel sharing.  When you share the gospel with someone, it leaves a mist on their hearts just like a clouded over mirror after a hot shower. But just a mist. Not a fire for Christ yet; just a mist. It leaves that mist on their hearts, and they can’t forget it....

September 2025 Monthly Book Review

It’s monthly book review time! Today’s book is a Christian romance book! Authentically, Izzy  Written By: Pepper Basham My Rating: 5 Stars! My Description Izzy Edgewood’s nosy cousin, Josephine, signed Izzy up for a dating website. That brings on emails from multiple different accounts, but one stuck with Izzy. He was bookish -just like Izzy. What more could Izzy want? But one day, a handsome, book-loving man walks in to the library that Izzy works at. Suddenly Izzy is stuck in a love triangle, not knowing what to do. Will she choose the local or the man who lives in a whole different country? My Recommendation for Age Group: 12 plus. It’s a clean, Christian, adult romance book, but it’s suitable for early teens too. Fiction or Non-Fiction? Fiction Would I Recommend this Book to Others? YES! One Thing I Learned from this Book: You never know other people’s thoughts on you. Sometimes they’re better than you’d expect. You see that with Izzy and her cousins -who were like siblin...

Back To School: Lunch

Hey! This is the last post of the Back to School series, and I hope you’ve enjoyed so far! Today’s post will be about different lunch ideas. So if you go to public school and pack your lunch, or if you are homeschooled like me and just want more lunch ideas, then hopefully this post will help. Let’s get into it! First up, knowing me, is some inspo from Pinterest! Here we go! Those are just some ideas. But almost every single day for lunch I have stovetop cooked vegetables and sometimes add in a toasted ciabatta or cheesy bread to sustain me until supper! I usually just put potatoes, carrots, and broccoli thrown in a pan with vegetable oil in it, then put it on the burner. Stir it occasionally until the potatoes are cooked through. For the toasted ciabatta, just take one side of a ciabatta (save the other half for another time), put some vegetable oil on it, some garlic salt, and some shredded cheese. Then put it on a pan in the oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take it out...
