Back to School: The Look

I love writing about fashion, so here’s another post about it -back to school edition! Let’s start with the foundation, clothes. Clothes So this is the main part of fashion. It’s hard to give you outfit ideas, because we all have different pieces in our closets. But, I’ll try! I love the look of having either a fitted top or bottom piece, and then the other piece is baggy (joggers and a fitted top or leggings and a sweatshirt). I recommend that because it’s always comfortable. You could even organize your closet by putting baggy items on the left and fitted items on the right of your closet rack! Anyway, here are some pictures to give you ideas for outfits (again, we don’t have the same clothes, so just picture whatever jean shorts I have to whatever jean shorts you have and so on): Those are just some Back To School vibes! I encourage you to go through your own closet and “copy” any of those outfits with the pieces you have! Example: for picture number one, you could use any fitt...

Back to School: Sports

Welcome back (or welcome for the first time)! Today in our Back To School series, we’ll be talking about sports. Sports fashion, sports hairstyles, stretches for when you’re sore, and more! Sporty Fashion                                                      Sporty fashion -for me- looks like this: Black workout leggings with a blue or green slippery material tee  Running shorts with one of the same tee as the above idea Spandex bike shorts with the same tee or a tank  Those are just some ideas! Sporty Hair You should definitely look up any of these that you haven’t heard of! Rope braid High ponytail split into two braids Ponytail braid Just a high ponytail Dutch or French braids As you can see, I love braids! Also, here’s some inspo! Stretches for When You’re Sore For volleyball, it’s mostly my shoulders that get sore, so I do this stret...

Back To School: School Prep

Hello! Today marks the first week of the Back to School series (I may refer to it as BTS -just a heads up). Today we’re chatting about school prep! Planning, routines, checklists, and more. Let’s jump right in! 1. Planning  If you know me, you know I’m a big planner. I love getting my new planner for the school year and seeing the layouts, stickers, pockets, sticky notes, and other things that the planners I typically get usually have. But you can’t just stop at buying a planner. You have to plan! So here’s my tips for planning: Pick your color combo for this week/month. Pick colors that fit that season or time of year by grabbing your pens or whatever, and picking out five different ones to be your combo for that time. Next week/month, pick a different combo! For BTS, I chose pastels of pink, orange, green, blue, and yellow. Use those chosen pens to write your schedules and whatever else in. Now on to the planning! Use your pens and write your schedule for this week on a wee...

August 2025 Monthly Book Review

Can you believe it’s August already? Fall sports are starting, school’s right around the corner, and clubs are starting to meet again. We’re starting a new series next week for Back To School, but until then, here is the monthly book review! Just For The Summer Written By: Melody Carlson  My Rating: 8 out of 10 My Description Jacqueline works at a fishing lodge in Idaho. Ginny works at an upscale hotel in Washington. For the summer, the two women swap jobs (and love interests). In the words of the author, “What could go wrong?”. My Recommendation for Age Group: Teens and up. Fiction or Non-fiction? Fiction. Would I recommend this book to others? Yes! One thing I learned from this book: Be content with where you are right now . If you change it up too much, you may realize that you liked it how it was (don’t worry, that’s not a spoiler for the book). Hope you like the book! If you’re reading romance books (or want to get into them), this is a good book for that -it’s clean. Se...

Should I Read This Book?

Hey! A lot of times when I am looking at books to read, I ask the question, “Should I read this book?”. I want to know if there’s any bad content in it, or if it will be uplifting and clean. So that’s what this post is going to be about. To help you determine whether to read whatever book you have your eye on.  Websites Here are a couple websites that have reviews on them, age ratings, and things like that to help you determine if there’s any bad content in the book you’re looking at. Plugged In  This is a website by Focus on the Family that reviews books, movies, etc. Common Sense Media  This website has parent reviews and kid reviews about all kinds of entertainment. Personally, I trust Plugged In more than the other website because it (Plugged In) is a Christian website. But feel free to click on both of those links to check them out.  Philippians 4:8 When trying to determine if a book is clean or not, consider this Bible verse. Let it be your key. “Finally,...
