The Kindness Challenge

This week is a little different. Why? Instead of just telling and teaching, this week is your time to act on what you know is good. How? With The Kindness Challenge. It’s maybe already a thing, and if it is, this is the Miss Lily Jayne version of it. Let me give you some more info before we get started. The Kindness Challenge is basically a big mash-up of Random Acts of Kindness, charities, volunteer work, etc. Each day for five days, you have a challenge to complete. They’re not hard, but they will bless people. So let’s get started! Screen shot the kindness challenge schedule below (you may have to crop out the paragraphs above and below it), and print it out, or just write it down. (Also the link to the Loving Others Kit is HERE ) The challenge schedule is below! The Kindness Challenge Before you begin: Make the Loving Others Kit. Also remember that you can switch around some of the days to work with your schedule. Example: You want to switch Day 3 to one of the other days and ...
Hey! This week, I just wanted to write about the Bible verse below. Let’s do it! Okay, so in sports, you typically have a coach. They give you pep talks, tips, and tell you what to do. But that’s all they can do. It’s up to you from there to follow their advice and to do what they say so you can succeed in the sport. But sometimes, we don’t want to listen to their advice because we are tired, don’t have much energy, etc. Well, at those points, we need motivation, right? Colossians 3:23-24 is great motivation. Consider this, how would you work if it was for the LORD? Probably as best you can. That’s good! That means you fear the LORD, and want Him to be pleased. Well, these Bible verses aren’t just applied to jobs and things like that. They apply to anything. Everything in fact! Even crochet, sports, school, and anything else. So memorize these verses. It’s only two! Then remind yourself of it often so you can work for the LORD in whatever you do. How do you work like that? Well… “...

July 2025 Monthly Book Review

It’s monthly book review time! Who Are You Following? Written By: Sadie Robertson Huff My Rating: 8.75 out of 10 My Description With so many worldly options for who to follow (on social media or in person), we get overwhelmed and distracted from the One who actually deserves our follow. With Sadie’s engaging and brave words, we realize that all these follows (except for Jesus) will lead us to short-lasting pleasures at   best. This book encourages us to stop following people, and truly live and follow Jesus. My Recommendation for Age Group: Teen girls and older Fiction or Non-fiction? Non-fiction Would I recommend this book to others? Yes One thing I learned from this book: We are all people, and we shouldn’t be following each other, but all follow Jesus.  Thanks for reading! God bless!

Calling All Summer Bookgirlies!

Welcome to the post of your bookish dreams! We’re chatting about bookshelf organization, summer book recommendations, and summer elements to add to your book time. Let’s do it! Bookshelf Organization For your bookshelf, make sure that you have a specific place to put your TBR (To Be Read) stack. I use a basket, put you can make whatever you’ve got work! You can even put them on your nightstand or side table like the pic above! For bookshelves that are like the one below, you can use one or two of the cubes for your TBR, depending on how many books you have in that stack. If you have a bookshelf that is rows like the one below, you can designate one row for your TBR, or you can just use a basket on one shelf for it. You can even just have those books normally stacked with a bookend to section it off from your other books.  (Photos above are from Pinterest) That’s enough about TBR stacks. For the rest of your books, you can organize them by genre. Be creative with how you display you...
