Psalm 33

I was flipping through my Bible when I stopped on Psalm 33. I skimmed through it and really loved the words that it said. The theme of it, especially towards the end of the psalm, is about how “the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,” (verse 18). It says that the LORD’s eyes are on those who put their hope in His unfailing love. That He will deliver those people from death.  “But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.”  -Psalm 33:18-22 (NIV) Are your eyes set on the LORD? Or are they distracted by the things of this world? Verses 20-21 of this Psalm say that we wait in hope for the LORD and that He is our help and our shield. Our hearts rejoice in Him because we ...

April 2026 Monthly Book Review

I realized that I didn’t do a Monthly Book Review in March, so here’s April’s Book Review! I read Just Friends by Haley Pham in March, and it was a five star book, so I need to do a review for it.  Just Friends Written By: Haley Pham My Rating: 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️  My Description Blair and Declan were childhood best friends. In their senior year of high school, something happened that made them break up -it’s a pretty big thing, so I’m not going to spoil that. It’s years later, and Blair comes back home from college because her Aunt Lottie’s cancer became pretty serious. She stumbles into a coffee shop one day while back in her hometown and sees none other than…Declan. All the past emotions and fears come to the surface. That’s all I’m going to say, because you just have to read this book -it’s SO good. My Personal Recommendation for Age Group: Teens or YA (Young Adult) Fiction or Non-fiction? Fiction -romance to be exact Something I Learned from this Book: That I really want t...

My Bible and Journaling Supplies

Happy Friday! Today I’m going to share about what Bible I have, and what pens and highlighters I use!  I have the Telos Bible, and I’ve actually had it since 5th grade. My old Sunday School teacher gave it to me once I “graduated” elementary school. I’ve been using it since then and am currently reading through it chronologically! It’s a mix between a study Bible and a journaling Bible. What I mean is that it has blank space on the sides of the pages for the reader to write notes, it has sections where it explains things, it has reading plans in the back, and more.  HERE’S THE LINK ! Now let’s talk about Bible Journaling Supplies! I love the Mr. Pen brand, and that’s where I got my pens and highlighters from.  HERE’S THE LINK!  I love that they don’t bleed through the pages of my Bible (the Telos Bible), and that the colors look very good together.  Anyways, if you’re interested in any of those products, check out the links! God Bless!

Journaling Through Lent: Week 7 -Easter Sunday!

Happy Easter!!! I hope you celebrate Jesus’ resurrection today! Let’s look at the story from the Bible to top off this whole series.  “Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See I have told you.’ So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesu...

Journaling Through Lent: Week 7

Hey! It’s Good Friday, and today we’re going to talk about when Jesus was crucified. Also, check back here on Sunday for a follow-up post!  Here’s how Jesus got crucified: He was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane: “Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, ‘Sit here while I go over there and pray.’ He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, ‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.’ Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.’ Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. ‘Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?’ he asked Peter. ‘Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.’ He went away a second time and...

Journaling Through Lent: Week 6

Hey!! Sorry I didn’t post on here last week -it was a pretty busy week, but now I’m back to it. This Sunday is Palm Sunday, and I wanted to write about that. In Mark 11:1-11, Jesus is riding in to Jerusalem on a donkey. People were praising Him, saying “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” The people were laying palm branches and cloaks on the road ahead of Him. They were honoring and praising Jesus. The attribute of Jesus I want to talk about today is that He sees you fully and knows everything about you because He created you! When He was riding into Jerusalem on the donkey with people surrounding Him, He saw each of their stories. He saw them fully just like He sees you fully. He knows everything about you and loves you -despite some bad things that may be lingering in your heart. Let’s add on to the truths of this series! Truth #5: Jesus sees you and knows you fully (Psalm 139:1-4, NIV) Psalm 139:1-4 (NIV) says: “You have searched me, LORD, and you know...

Journaling Through Lent: Week 4 (GUEST WRITER)

What comes to mind when you hear the word outcast? Do you think of that “weird person”, the one who no one likes? How about those cry-inducing animal shelter commercials about helpless abandoned puppies? Maybe you  feel like an outcast, and that you don’t belong anywhere.  Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines an outcast as:  ‘one that is cast out or refused acceptance (as by society).’ No doubt about it, in a society where “image is everything,” and it’s all about what you can bring to the table, there’s a whole lot of outcasts. But here’s the good news, my friends: Jesus didn’t just come for the people who have it all together. He came for the people that no one else would go near! Let’s look at some of the people he reached out to. 1. A Roman centurion (Matthew 8:5-13) Roman centurions were sort of the bad guys in ancient Israel. They were known for using their power as soldiers to abuse and hurt the Israelites. Jesus didn’t care. When this centurion came to him wit...
