August 2025 Monthly Book Review

Can you believe it’s August already? Fall sports are starting, school’s right around the corner, and clubs are starting to meet again. We’re starting a new series next week for Back To School, but until then, here is the monthly book review!

Just For The Summer

Written By: Melody Carlson

My Rating: 8 out of 10

My Description

Jacqueline works at a fishing lodge in Idaho. Ginny works at an upscale hotel in Washington. For the summer, the two women swap jobs (and love interests). In the words of the author, “What could go wrong?”.

My Recommendation for Age Group: Teens and up.

Fiction or Non-fiction? Fiction.

Would I recommend this book to others? Yes!

One thing I learned from this book: Be content with where you are right now. If you change it up too much, you may realize that you liked it how it was (don’t worry, that’s not a spoiler for the book).

Hope you like the book! If you’re reading romance books (or want to get into them), this is a good book for that -it’s clean. See you next week!
