Faith Glow Up: Week 3

Hello! Time for Week 3 of Faith Glow Up!

This week, we are chatting about Bible journaling. Since this whole series is about making time with God more fun, I thought this was another great way -and maybe a little obvious too- to do that. So grab your highlighters, pens, sticky notes, and annotation tabs and get ready to study God’s Word. I hope you have fun!

Let’s begin by saying this: It’s not about aesthetic. Don’t be thinking you have to make the design look perfect for looks. Think of your Bible as a place for you and God to spend time together. I encourage you very much to share it, but don’t stress about making the notes and designs look perfect. That’s not what it’s about. Have fun doing some Bible journaling, but keep the right mindset. Think of it as just helping you more understand the Scripture piece you’re studying.

Bible journaling comes in different forms. One of the ways to do it is like the picture below, where she highlights and underlines, then writes her thoughts on the side. There are Bibles that have that extra room on the side; they’re called Journaling Bibles. If you have one, it’ll be easier for you to do the Bible journaling ideas in this post.

If you don’t have one, you can still do highlighting, underlining, and annotating just as well. If you want to do some writing or designs in your Bible, you can write in the margins wherever there’s room. Or, you can put the notes on a sticky note and stick it to the page of your Bible that the notes connect to. There are different ways to do it, and I’d give some of them a try! This is your Bible, so annotate it however much you’d like to! Here’s inspo on this:

Now if you do have a Bible with space to the side for journaling, here is some inspo (by the way, all photos in this post are from Pinterest)!

This one is great for Fall!

This one below is just a doodle with some encouraging words in it!

This one below fills up the whole side!

I hope you got inspired through this to be creative in your Bible! Have a great day and God bless you! ❤️
