Hey! Happy New Year! This fresh start has made me decide to open up more possibilities for the Miss Lily Jayne brand. I opened up an Instagram account yesterday, and am posting daily. I’m hoping that will expand the following on this blog, my books, and everything Miss Lily Jayne. It’s a new chapter!
Speaking of new chapters, it’s time for the Bible Verse of the Year Challenge -2026 Edition! If you didn’t know, last year I picked a Bible verse that I focused on all year, and it was Philippians 4:8. I was focusing on managing my thought-life better; I wasn’t only focusing on that single topic the whole year, though. It was just one thing I was trying to do better about in 2025 and the years to follow. Anyways, this year I picked another verse for me to do better about obeying: 1 Thessalonians 5:17, which says, (NLT) “Never stop praying.” So, this year I’m focusing on being more intentional about prayer, which you may have seen on my Instagram post yesterday.
To be more intentional about prayer, I’m setting goals for myself:
- Read at least one book about prayer
- Display 1 Thessalonians 5:17
- Have daily, intentional prayer time
- Pick a Bible verse that you want to be more intentional about obeying this year.
- Comment on this post that you are participating, what verse you chose, and one goal you have for yourself revolving around that verse.
- Either make the Bible verse that you chose your device’s wallpaper or display it in paper-form somewhere you’ll see it (your bedroom, house, closet, War Room, etc.).
- Pray and ask God to help you obey that verse in the way He wants you to and for Him to lead you.
- You are now a participant! Keep going all-year long with studying the verse, memorizing it, obeying it, etc.
I hope you participate! If you have Instagram, make sure to check out my account; I linked it in the side bar of this blog. But most importantly, I hope we all grow closer to God this year! God bless!

I've chosen Philippians 2:3-4 as my Bible verse, which says: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. One goal I have is to be more aware of other people's needs and actively help them!
